Sound familiar?
These are the issues I see most often before a Speed & SEO project starts. Each one quietly costs enquiries, time or trust, and most businesses have more than one.
Usually a good fit if you're
- Websites that score in the red or orange on PageSpeed Insights
- Businesses whose site gets little traffic from Google
- Owners preparing a site for AI search (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews)
- 01
Pages take several seconds to show anything on a phone.
- 02
The layout jumps around while the page loads.
- 03
Plugins and tracking scripts slow every page.
- 04
Google indexes the site but rarely shows it.

How I solve it with Speed & SEO.
A slow website costs enquiries before anyone reads a word. Google measures loading, stability and responsiveness as Core Web Vitals, and visitors on phones are the first to give up on a page that takes too long.
I find what is slowing your site down and fix it: heavy images, render-blocking scripts, plugin bloat and layout shifts.
At the same time I put the technical SEO in place (clean structure, metadata, structured data and sitemaps) so search engines and AI assistants can understand and cite your pages.
- 01
Problem: Pages take several seconds to show anything on a phone.
Solution: Images, fonts and scripts reorganised so the main content loads first.
- 02
Problem: The layout jumps around while the page loads.
Solution: Space reserved for images, embeds and fonts, so nothing shifts.
- 03
Problem: Plugins and tracking scripts slow every page.
Solution: Each script reviewed: removed, deferred or loaded only where it is needed.
- 04
Problem: Google indexes the site but rarely shows it.
Solution: Clean headings, metadata, internal links, structured data and a sitemap.
Everything in a Speed & SEO build.
Scope is agreed in writing first. You pick what you need and only pay for that.

Good to know
- Scores depend partly on hosting and on third-party scripts you choose to keep, such as chat widgets, booking embeds and ad tags. I explain the trade-off for each one.
- Lighthouse scores vary slightly between runs and devices; I report the median of several mobile tests.
- Rankings depend on many factors beyond speed. Technical SEO removes the barriers; content and links do the rest.

Speed & SEO questions, answered.
Can't see yours? I'm happy to answer anything before you commit.
Ask a question Can you get my site to a PageSpeed score of 95+?
95 or more on mobile is the target I work to. Whether an existing site can reach it depends on its platform, hosting and the third-party scripts it must keep. The audit tells you what is realistic before any fixes start.
Will speed improvements help my Google rankings?
Core Web Vitals are one of the signals Google uses, and faster pages keep more visitors. Speed alone will not outrank stronger content, but it removes a real disadvantage.
Do you work on WordPress sites?
Yes. Most speed work is on WordPress: image optimisation, caching, removing unused plugins and scripts, and fixing theme or builder bloat.
What is llms.txt and do I need it?
llms.txt is a plain-text summary of your site for AI assistants. It is quick to add and helps tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity describe your business accurately.
How do you measure the results?
With PageSpeed Insights and Lighthouse on mobile for each key page, before and after the work, plus Search Console data over the following weeks.
